Service Description

Speech-language evaluations are typically conducted in 60 - 90 minutes. Evaluations include the use of standardized assessments and are used to measure speech, articulation, phonology, apraxia, fluency, communication, pragmatic, language skills. A speech-language evaluation is a comprehensive measure of a person’s communication skills, including verbal and nonverbal abilities. An evaluation encompasses multiple aspects of communication skills. It is done to gain a better understanding of a person’s communication skills and needs. Evaluations are performed by a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP).
