Promoting Language And You (P.L.A.Y.) Group is a social-language skills development group that is designed to foster kids’ speech, language, conversational, friendship, and problem-solving skills. The group includes 3 to 4 kids led by an adult who facilitates the kids on how to interact appropriately with other similar age peers. This group can also be useful in teaching kids to control their emotions and understand other people’s perspectives. Groups are facilitated by a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) or a licensed speech-language pathology assistant under the supervision of an SLP.
